Registration, sign-in and password recovery¶
Four tasks that get you into Backoffice and back in again: create an account, confirm the address it was created with, sign in, and reset a forgotten password. Work through them in that order the first time.
All four screens are public
You need no role, no package and no existing event to open any of them — anyone with the address can reach the registration, confirmation, sign-in and recovery forms.
The four tasks¶
Create an account. The registration form asks for your full name, email, a password with a matching confirmation, and your agreement to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Google, Apple and LinkedIn are offered as alternatives to typing an address. A finished registration sends you straight to the next task. See Create an account.
Confirm your email address. Registration ends on the Check your email page, which carries the verification link for the address you entered. You can also resend the message after a cooldown and open the link itself, which reports whether the address is confirmed, the link is invalid or expired, or the check could not be completed. See Confirm your email address.
Sign in. The sign-in form takes an email address and a password, with Google, Apple, LinkedIn and a guest option alongside them. A successful sign-in opens the event dashboard. See Sign in.
Reset your password. Forgot password? on the sign-in form opens the recovery form, which emails a six-character reset code. Entering that code with a new password signs you out onto the sign-in page with the new password in place. See Reset your password.
